About The Plough Inn
The Plough Inn resides in the picturesque village of Icklingham, conveniently located on the A1101, and is the perfect place to stop for dinner, lunch or a 'pie and a pint'.
Surrounded by beautiful Suffolk countryside, The Plough Inn, Icklingham is rural but accessible: just 10m from Bury St. Edmunds, 12m from Newmarket, 8m from Thetford and only 4 miles from Mildenhall - host to the USAF's largest air base in the UK, and West Stow Country Park, location of a rebuilt Saxon village, is only 1 mile away.
We are in the East Anglian Daily Times magazine 50 Great Places to Eat Out in the county!
The Plough Inn is part of Lord Iveagh estate. The estate rebuilt the pub in 2004, All of our food is cooked on the premises by the chef/Landlord Rocke, using as much local produce as possible.
Front of House is Sue (landlady) and restaurant and rooms manager Carlton, helped by a great team of staff, who have been with us since our refurbishment in 2004.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Plough Inn soon!
